Welder/Fabricator Required - Nights

£18.80 per hour

 Due to continued demand and success, we are looking to recruit experienced Welders/Fabricators for our client on a night shift.

They currently have a number of vacancies for Welders/fabricators to join their team, based at their Swadlincote depot. The successful candidate must have experience working on heavy plant and machinery and a proven work history in this field and hold Industry recognised certificates.

Pay and Hours

• £18.80 per hour
• 10-hour shifts starting at 17.30/18.00pm
• Some weekend work involved.
• Overtime available.
• Temp to Perm Opportunity

Job Responsibilities

• Repairing or replacing damaged parts and reassembling and testing the machine
• Dealing with heavy plant and machinery including, shredders, trommels, loading shovels
• Using various hand and power tools, as well as welding gear and electrical testing equipment
• Completing daily log sheets, listing work done and time spent on it.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and report any malpractice.
• Report all accidents and incidents.

Candidate Requirements

• Must have time served welding experience and relevant certificates.
• You will be expected to work outdoors in all weather.
• At other times you might work in a workshop where conditions might be dirty and oily.
• You might have to work at heights, for example on cranes.
• You may have to bend, stretch, and lift heavy machinery parts.
• Overtime working, including some weekends.
• You will be expected to travel from one local site to another to service machines.
• Punctual hard working “can do attitude”.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
