Area Manager - Operations

We are recruiting for a leading and long established Contract Cleaning Company based in Leamington Spa and have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager to join the team to work in the Northampton and Daventry areas.

Applicants should live in close proximity to these areas due to the nature of the business.

Applicants must have knowledge of the cleaning industry and have the ability to communicate with clients and manage a cleaning team.

A good salary package (£28,500.00 with a review and associated increase after 3 months) is provided along with a company car, laptop and mobile phone. We offer a generous base holiday allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays and reward long serving employees with additional days.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF AREA MANAGERS

• Ensure that cleaning standards are maintained to clients' satisfaction at all times.
• Escalate and liaise with Management where required if problems occur.
• To report any changes on site which may affect our contract.
• To train and motivate cleaning operatives.
• Control and distribution of supplies.
• Effect control of monthly site inspection sheets, customer care reports etc.
• Compile 4 weekly wages electronically, ensuring accuracy and submission to head office at the correct time.
• Complete any necessary forms relevant to staff changes.
• Supply relief/temporary operatives whenever necessary.
• Report any defects in machinery or equipment and ensure that a label is attached with details of fault.
• Inform Management of any areas where you feel we could obtain additional business.

• Conflict Management – dealing with issues if and when they arise
• Attention to detail/accuracy when dealing with payroll
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Package - in particular Excel and Word

ESSENTIAL

• MUST hold a full UK driving license
