Registered Manager- Childrens home
Siamo Group have an excellent opportunity for an experienced registered manager to join a therapeutic and ethically motivated company. Our client is looking for a passionate and driven manager to contribute to providing the best outcomes in the lives of children and young people.
As a Registered Manager you will be responsible for the operational day-to-day management of a 3 bed EBD service, ensuring compliance and relevant legislation are adhered to.
You will be responsible for the development and supervision of the care team in the home.
You will also be accessible for the children to speak with and build strong bonds and relationships with.
Requirements
You must have worked in the residential sector, ideally children's services, for at least 5 years.
- Must hold NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Must have a DBS, update service preferred.
- Willing to work towards Level 5 in Leadership and Management if not already held.
- Preferably TCI trained or willing to work towards.
- It is essential that you are flexible, good communicator and are able to keep accurate records.
- You should be able to work on your own initiative, as well as being able to work as part of a team effectively.
Duties Include
- Assist with the opening of the new Children's Home.
- Be registered for the home as the manager by OFSTED.
- Ensure the service is safe, effective and meets OFTSED standards.
- Recruit, manage and develop the care team.
- Responsible for training and development.
- Report writing.
- Hold a good understanding of legislation of running a Children's Home.
