MONDAY to FRIDAY

ANNUAL SALARY OF £25,600

Unipart is currently looking to recruit Transport Planners for a site based in DE12

Shifts:
You will be working 5 days a week Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm 

Some flexibility of shift times required, the main hours of operation will be between 6.00am and 6.00pm

Salary:
£25,600 per year

Key responsibilities:
Be responsible for the global inbound shipping and transportation activities covering road, sea and air to Mercia Park
Ensure the timely and unhindered movement of goods and resolution of exceptions, damage, late or mis-delivery and resolution/ recovery of such situations in conjunction with the carrier, warehouse operation and transport teams
Manage the process from shipment from a supplier, through to carrier booking and delivery in accordance with local and customer requirements/regulations

About You
Have experience of working in a warehousing environment – and an understanding of Transport and / or Distribution would be an advantage
Understand the need for customer focus, you’ll be used to achieving targets and working to timescales that must be achieved
You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with multiple queries and processes at the same time, and thrive on the pressure this can sometimes bring.
Experience of adapting to programmes of change, you’ll help solve problems and will thrive in an environment of continuous improvement where you get to help develop processes and procedures to ensure the ultimate service for the customer
Have a good awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards
An excellent communicator you know how to listen effectively and have professional spoken and written skills
Have good IT skills in Microsoft Office and / or Google Suite - SAP experience would be a real advantage
