Warehouse Shift Manager - Straight Permanent Contract

Siamo Group are currently recruiting for a highly motivated experienced Shift Manager/Leader to join our prestigious client based in Hamshall Distribution Park, Coleshill, B46 to support with their continued growth.

Duties: 

You will lead, motivate and develop the team to maintain new and high standards within the warehouse ensuring that goods in/out are dealt with safely, accurately and efficiently, manage all escalations, and promote a continuous improvement culture. Promoting accuracy and information and bringing the admin team and warehouse team together.

Hours: This is a full-time permanent role on a rotating shift pattern basis working between the hours of 06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday (Flexibility if weekends as required) .

• You will receive 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays,

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience in a bracket of £30,000 - £32,000

EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN A 3PL LOGISTICS COMPANY 

Skills & Attributes:

• Warehouse Management and/or Operations Management
• A strong communicator who earns respect
• Ability to implement new processes and lead initiatives
• Level 3 health and safety qualification (IOSH)- Preferred
• Communicates effectively at all levels
• Ability to provide leadership, direction and motivation to teams
• Ability to deal with conflict in an effective and professional manner                        

General Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for managing incoming shipments & communication within your team, staff management / weekly planning / timesheets / control hours & overtime and leading the on-boarding and training of new team members.
• Maintain & achieve agreed customer service levels
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing pick accuracy and ensuring QA checking processes are followed.
• You will have responsibility for the management of high levels of health and safety compliance and enforcing safe operating working practices within the sites.
• Maximise warehouse performance and efficiency through Continuous Improvement
• People management – absence management, appraisals etc.
• Develop problem solving and trouble shooting skills to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast and effective action
• Facilitate the development of an open culture of pro-activity where people take pride and responsibility in what they do and feel a sense of involvement and self-worth.
• Ensure compliance to standard operating procedures (SOP's, SSOW's and RA's) as well as producing and writing these.
• Ensuring the operation meets or exceeds budgeted targets set up for export operation with the use of key operational cost drivers and P&L management
