We are seeking to hire a Trade Counter Sales Advisor to add to an experienced and friendly Trade Counter Sales team, for my well-established client who is based in Swadlincote.
This is an excellent opportunity to join this expanding family run business and to keep up with their ever-growing demand.
You will be given a full induction into the company which includes comprehensive training on their systems to bring you up to speed, as well as bespoke training within the fast-paced and highly technical hand and power tool industry.
This is a Temp to Perm position for the right candidate.
Trade Counter experience is a must!
Hours and Salary
- £11.00 per hour
- Alternate working weeks consisting of:
- Monday to Friday - 7:00am to 4:00pm
- Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 6:00pm
- Alternate Saturday – 7:30am to 5:00pm
- Fully paid lunch breaks
Job Responsibilities
- Process customer orders using their top tier sales counter EPOS and POS back-office system for trades people, industry professionals and public.
- Being able to produce extra orders daily and increase average order value.
- Engage with customers to provide the best tools and services for their needs.
- Work with the existing Trade Counter team to ensure Point of Sale is correct and displays are well presented and ‘customer friendly’.
- Source and manage ‘Special Order’ sales for stock that is outside of our stocked range.
- Answer telephone inquiries
- Assist with stock management and goods-in
- Handle customer returns
- Handle industrial power tool repairs, booking in and processing, for warranty and non-warranty.
- Uphold the company image and ethos for excellent customer service, excellent product availability and excellent pricing.
- Increase turnover and profits for the sales counter.
Candidate Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Cash handling experience
- Good verbal and written communication skillset
- Excellent numeracy skillset to quickly calculate sales prices, discounts, and percentages.
- Previous experience working in a Trade Counter role and Sales role required.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be able to work on own initiative.
- Time management skills and able to prioritise workload.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Go above and beyond in their line of work to reach the overall company goal.
- Interest in hand and power tools, hardware, fixings, and plumbing
