We are looking for someone to join a leading UK Investment Casting manufacturer, offering bespoke and often very complex components in an extensive range of metals and specialist alloys.

We deliver a complete investment casting package for our customers, by providing solutions, quality products and excellent service.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated General Operative to join the Foundry department who is willing to learn and develop in a manufacturing environment. 

The role will involve working as part of a team; demonstrating a willingness to learn and embrace new skills.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and dexterity in handling small parts. 

Previous experience of working in a Manufacturing foundry environment is desirable.

Days and hours of work are Monday – Friday 30am – 4.30pm Mon-Thu & 7.30am-12.30pm Friday

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of moulds for casting.
• Produce cast metal products.
• Remove metal from castings.
• Accurately complete Production Cards accompanying each job, clearly identifying scrap or non-conformities.
• Maintain and operate machinery and equipment in correct and safe manner, in line with operating procedures.
• Carryout daily general housekeeping and cleanliness of the department, ensuring all equipment, tools and materials are in a secure and safe condition.

Skill Requirements/Desirables

• Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as successfully within a team.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety at Work regulations.
• Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
