Managing Engineer - Sheet Metal Fabrications Industry

Siamo is looking for experienced Engineer Managers

Our client has been trading successfully from their Northampton base for over 30 years. The business has grown incrementally in that time to become regarded as one of the most respected sheet metal fabrication companies in Europe – by manufacturing high quality, precision sheet metal work in stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.

They are currently looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team. You ideally will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory/management role, leading a team of individuals. Additionally, You will also have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in working with sheet metal, including flat development and nesting to requirements.

• £45000.00 Per Annum
• Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00/ Friday 08:30 - 16:00

Key Requirements of a Engineer Manager:

• Engineer Manager/ Supervisor experience minimum 3 years - Essential
• Sheet Metal Working Experience minimum 5 years - Essential 
• Experience using nesting packages for sheet metal (Radan preferred but not essential)
• Ability to confidently use 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred but not essential)
• Effectively read and understand Engineering drawings
• Ability to flat develop parts ready for laser/ punch machines
• Strong knowledge of best practice on lasers and laser/punch combinations (Amada preferred but not essential)

• Reverse Engineering parts from samples
