Automotive Vehicle Technician

We are currently supporting our client who are an Independent Toyota / Lexus / Hybrid Specialist garage located in Milton Keynes, in their search for an Automotive Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic to join the team!

Salary Details:

Up to £32,000 DOE

Annual Leave: 31 days (This is including bank holidays and 3 days paid shut down over the Christmas period)

Position Duration:

Permanent, Monday to Friday only – Saturday overtime not compulsory paid at an overtime rate. 40 hours per week working times flexible between opening hours of 08.00 – 18.00

Job Summary: 

Technician / Mechanic / MOT tester

MOT testing as set by the guidelines of the DVSA

Carrying out vehicle services and repairs, in accordance with manufacturer technical standards, ensuring we deliver the highest standards.

Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by customer.

Advising the Service Receptionists about required repairs and complete appropriate documentation on each repair using appropriate methods

Aptitude, desire and ability to follow procedures, standards and solve problems

Always curious with a willingness to learn and develop in order to stay on top of latest innovation and new technology

About You:

Qualified Vehicle Technician to NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent (MOT Tester preferred but not essential)

Current and Valid UK Driving Licence

Dedicated and committed approach and to motivated and able to work to their own initiative

Ability to communicate and support both customers and colleagues

A keen eye for detail, to realise the importance that every vehicle we look after receives the highest standard of care
