HEAD OF SALES AND MARKETING
Our fast-paced growing client in Roxton (just outside of Bedford) is looking for another dedicated, motivated, and experienced team member to join them on a permanent basis for the role of Head of Sales and Marketing.

Being in the manufacturing industry, they are ideally looking for someone with a background in Plant, Utilities or Construction sectors.
Position and salary:
Permanent, Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm.
Salary 50k + bonus (OTE up to 100k) + benefits (a company vehicle, pension, life cover and family private health cover).
Job Summary:
To be responsible for leading the team of professionals who are involved in the sales and marketing activities of the company. To manage the team, track market developments, create strategies, set up sales plans, and maintain customer relations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To accomplish marketing and sales staff objectives by recruiting, selecting, training, and coaching employees
- Communicate job expectations by planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions.
- Achieve marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information.
- Prepare and complete marketing action plan.
- Meet marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements and preparing annual budgets for the team.
- Accomplish marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertisements.
- Identify marketing opportunities by understanding consumer requirements.
- Maintaining relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
- Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities.
- Provides information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and make contact with existing customers.
- Provide required support for the delivery of new trucks to ensure on time and to customer expectations.
- Collaborate with other managers and key employees in other departments to achieve company goals
- Travel and collaborate with group companies based in Germany, Poland and Netherlands
- Contribute and support to ensure compliance to ISO9001/14001/45001 Qualifications Skills and
Attributes Required:
- Ability to work under pressure
- 3-5 years’ experience in marketing or sales.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Understanding and knowledge of sales and marketing.
- Strong closing skills
- Ability to present multiple product lines
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Experience within the Plant, Utilities or Construction sectors.
- Pro-active and good listener
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Financial and commercial acumen
There will be some flexibility with a number of days working hybrid, however you will need to be in the office at least 3 days a week.
