We have a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join my client’s family run business in Swadlincote due to rapid growth and to be able to keep up with their ever-growing demand.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Internal Sales Representative and must be able to communicate with new and existing customers to understand their needs to generate sales, generate repeat business, and identify new leads. This is via an existing customer database and an ever-expanding list of online customers and businesses that have previously used the company.
The position requires a wide range of skills and experience with the construction, engineering and manufacturing industries. Knowledge of Hand Tools, Power Tools, Consumables, PPE and workwear would be preferred.
This is a Temp to Perm position for the right candidate after 12 weeks and ideally would suit someone from a Sales/business development background.
Hours of Work and Pay
- Monday to Friday
- 00am – 17.00pm
- £10.68ph – £12.82ph dependant on experience (£25,000 -£30,000 per annum)
- Plus, bonuses
Job Requirements
- Developing new sales opportunities using outbound emails, calls and lead follow-ups.
- Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities.
- Answering customers’ questions, resolving their concerns, sourcing products, and providing additional information via calls and emails
- Explaining and demonstrating the functions and features of products and services
- Maintaining and improving the database of customers and prospects
- Researching for new leads
- Keeping up to date with product and service information and competitor offers
- Upselling products and offering excellent customer service internally and externally if required
- Being pro-active daily to generate sales and achieve sales targets.
To be considered for this role
- Have knowledge of Hand Tools, Power Tools, Consumables, PPE and workwear
- Valid drivers licence as travelling to trade shows etc.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience working with CRM software, Excel, Word and handling multiple calls and emails daily.
- Excellent organisation
- Patience, time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
