Siamo are looking for experienced Plastic Rectification workers for Orthosis and Prostheses, with-in the Orthopaedic shoe industry.
Due to our client having a really good year in 2022, they are now looking to expanded their team in 2023, they are currently looking for Plastics Rectification workers for Orthosis and Prostheses, this is a vital part of the business, as you will be dealing with Rectification of plaster moulds and plastic finishing for customers orders.
Summary of work involved.
- you will benefit from an understanding of Orthopaedic terminology from previous experience's
- Having worked with plastics and in metal work previously is a huge advantage.
What to expect as an Plastics Rectification for Orthosis and Prostheses:
- £9.51 - £11.50 Per hour (Negotiable)
- 39 hours Per Week

Main Duties of a Plastics Rectification for Orthosis and Prostheses:
- To fill hollow plaster moulds and to rectify and remodel to a specific measure and requirement
- Working with plaster of paris
- Using hand tools and measuring devices
- Working closely with roughing machines/ band saws/ pillar drills and other machinery
- Oven work
- Work involving Vacuum formers
Materials involved for Plastics Rectification for Orthosis and Prostheses:
- Different coloured dyes
- Polythene's/plastics and polypropylene
- Different metals
Key requirements of a Plastics Rectification for Orthosis and Prostheses:
- Excellent hand to eye coordination
- Experienced using industry machine's i.e., Vacuum Formers/ Ovens/ Band Saws/ Etc
- Proven ability to fill hollow plaster moulds and to rectify and remodel to a specific measure and requirement
- Strong understand of Orthopaedic terminology
