We are recruiting for an Multi Skilled Engineer to join our prestigious manufacturing client based in Shepshed, Leicestershire.
We are looking for a maintenance engineer with a bias towards electrical engineering.
You would be responsible for ensuring the continuous running of the manufacturing equipment and machinery.
As the maintenance engineer you will be involved in the control and monitoring devices and manufacture of items to ensure the maintenance.
You will play a vital role in the efficiency of the running of the plant as well development and progress of the manufacturing processes.
You will work with other professionals to improve production facilities, reduce breakdowns that can be costly to the business, and develop strategies to improve the overall reliability and safety of plant and production processes.
Hours of Work and Pay
£41,750 Per Annum
6am – 6pm 4 Days on 4 Days off
Job Role Overview
- Designing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods
- Carrying out routine maintenance work and responding effectively to equipment faults
- Diagnosing breakdown problems
- Fitting new parts and ensuring equipment is working correctly
- Carrying out quality inspections on jobs
- Liaising with departments, customers, and other engineering and production colleagues
- Arranging supply of tools, parts and equipment as required
- Dealing with emergencies and unplanned problems and repairs
- Improving health and safety policies and procedures
- Working with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controller (PLC), which control machinery on the production lines
- Ensure continuous cover of machinery and equipment in case of breakdown
Candidate Requirements
- Capacity to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures
- High level knowledge of electrical engineering specifically
- Hold minimum NVQ, C&G or BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Able to respond positively under pressure
