Siamo Recruitment are supporting a partner within the property and advertisement industry, that are looking to continue their growth by adding a Finance Assistant to their busy office located in Northleach, you will be surrounded by beautiful views, office dogs, and a breath takingly stunning working environment, not to mentioned joining a team that supports you and strives to achieve a family working environment.


Within this Finance Assistant role, you will have a varied workload, focusing on purchase ledger, processing invoices, and working in conjunction with external teams, processing expenses and running reconciliations.


This role would suit an individual from a Finance background, that is eager to learn and progress their career, ideally with knowledge and experience of the above and Sage as a Finance tool, however, full training will be provided.

Your duties as a Finance Assistant

  • Coding, processing, and arranging approval of all purchase ledger items through the finance system
  • Issuing of ad hoc sales invoices and credit notes and ensuring accuracy prior to inputting into the finance system
  • Preparing BACs payments (weekly), CHAPS payments (ad-hoc)
  • Send remittances to suppliers, update internal systems with payment details
  • Management of the purchase ledger inbox in outlook / day to day liaison point for suppliers
  • Reconcile supplier statements to the purchase ledger and ensure any discrepancies are investigated and rectified fully
  • Own queries from suppliers to ensure any issues are resolved promptly
  • Providing accurate monthly reports to the Transaction Manager prior to distribution (Aged Creditors)
  • Set up new customer and supplier accounts and maintain accurate account details within the purchase/sales ledger
  • Set up & verify new bank details for Suppliers and update the Sage records
  • Assisting with ad-hoc duties as requested

The ideal candidate for the Finance Assistant role

  • Full driving licence – with own transport
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Computer literate with good intermediate Excel skills
  • Ideally an understanding of Sage and accounting software principles - (however full training will be provided if unfamiliar)
  • Note Sage will be replaced with a new finance system in 2021
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
