Siamo Group are pleased to be working alongside a rapidly growing construction and civil engineering organisation, who are looking to onboard an Finance Assistant at their head office in South Cerney.

Our client is looking for a highly organised, and analytical individual with an exposure in accounting and strong administration skills. The successful candidate for this Accounts Assistant post will have experience dealing with high volumes of invoices and statements and will be proficient in MS office, inc. Excel.

The position would suit someone with financial experience within the construction sector (preferable). This position will be initially temporary abut has the chance to go permanent for the right individual.

The Hours/Pay

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:30am – 17:00pm (part-time for the right candidate)
  • £10-£12 per hour DOE
  • South Cerney, Gloucestershire

Your role as an Accounts Assistant will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Matching, checking, and coding invoices
  • Working out VAT payments
  • Creating supplier information and updating the ERP system
  • Making payments via BACS and cheques
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Filing invoices
  • Managing petty cash
  • Data entry
  • Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries

The Ideal candidate for this Accounts Assistant role will:

  • Experience with Economic Impact Payment (EIP)
  • The ability to work in a team
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, like SAP
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to converse at all levels within the business
