IT Support Technician - Bedford - £27000- £30,000

My client is currently looking for an IT Support Technician to join their team. This role is working for a small independent company based in Bedford.

 You will be primarily dealing with 1st & 2nd line IT support issues. Dealing with escalated IT support issues and supporting your colleagues with IT issues. You will work with the helpdesk system to report issues, taking ownership of tasks to ensure they are followed up, completed and communicated with the customer throughout, covering a wide variety of IT areas.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to staff.
  • Ensure IT support issues are followed through to completion, assisting your colleagues to ensure that the department meets with the service level agreement.
  • Ensure the smooth running of all computer equipment and responding to urgent IT issues.
  • Assist with the installation and configuration of all new computer hardware to ensure that it operates to maximum potential.
  • Ensure the safeguarding & data protection policies are implemented and adhered to.
  • Keep up to date with new technology, advising and recommending where appropriate.
