Shifts and Pay: 05:30:00 -14:00 or 13:30-22:00 Working any 5 days in 7 which does include weekend and Bank holiday working Starting salary £10.73 -£13.41 p/h

You will not select stock to use; this is the supervisor’s decision.

You will not move stock with a zero value from lines until rectified by the shift manager

When storing goods making sure they are stored in correct temperature regime.

To act on picking instructions, label, count, secure and make pallets of produce ready for dispatch.

Responsibilities for Health & Safety and Food Hygiene:

Monitor storage areas to ensure that all goods are stored

Keep your managers informed of underlying or possible problems relating to produce e.g. shortages, poor stock, overstock, and over-ripe stock, waste. Communicate doubts and problems to supervisors.

Identify and allocates stock to be used on a day to day basis by shift production shifts.

Housekeeping – Ensure that no pallets are left lying around, fire exits are kept tidy (swept), miscellaneous products lying around are put away in the correct areas (and DE labelled if required)

Ensure that your workers are wearing clean, overalls and are tidily attired, and hats are straight. Check that they comply with our hygiene regulations and report violations to supervisors.

Ensure that your areas of the warehouse are kept clean, tidy and safe (no straps, netting or hazardous material left lying around and thus showing due concern for the health and safety of your colleagues) especially at the end of the shift.

Ensure that stock is stored in the appropriate location and inform supervisors and line managers of obvious deviations, doubts and problems.

Ensure that pallets are stacked correctly, safely and in an optimum ma

Ensure that all stock is appropriately labelled with stock codes, wips, ripening, ofco stickers et.al

Enforce and follow systems e.g. signing in & out labels from the label room, report H&S violations to the supervisor if you can’t get them sorted out yourself.

Damaged or extra products should be sent back to production area or reject bay on authorisation of supervisors.

Carry out stock counts and verifications from time to time if required
