To coordinate the delivery of sales orders to customers utilizing third party transport service providers and to Control and monitor inbound freight from suppliers. This role is very much around looking at the productions plans 3 weeks in advance building loads planning routes and then organising transport through third party suppliers also  managing the goods in.


Key Responsibilities;

Working with Purchasing Department and Suppliers to organise:

  1. Movement of inbound goods, by sea, road, air
  2. Booking in shipments with Warehouse – HT Warehouses, External Warehouses
  3. Completing all Inbound Customs Requirements

Best practice working

  • Share best practice ideas with other members of the organization.
  • Demonstrate integrity and discretion in the handling of company information.
  • Ensure you are aware of the companies GDPR policy and procedures in relation to handling personal information and asking third parties to process personal information on the company’s behalf.

Working with Operations and Internal Sales Team to fulfil sales orders:

  1. Creating consolidated shipments
  2. Creating shipping plan for Despatch
  3. Liaise with service providers to book shipments
  4. Negotiate costs and service levels with Service Providers:
  • Ad hoc movements
  • Planned movements
  • Contracted movements

 
About you;

  • Experience and expertise to deal with a range of issues some of which may be difficult
  • A good communicator who is comfortable communicating within and outside the organization.
  • Being accountable for the day to day running of an important process, which can have serious impact on the business.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently referring to management for guidance on policy and professional decisions.
  • Able to work on own initiative and use judgement to tackle difficult tasks and assignments.
  • Be able to build relationships and negotiate and influence people with third party suppliers.

MUST BE FROM AN SME ENVIRONMENT/BACKGROUND

Salary Negotiable Up to £32000 PA
Strictly office based role - No hybrid working

Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
