Transport Planner/Transport Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

Working with Operations and Internal Sales Team to fulfil sales orders:

1. Creating consolidated shipments
2. Creating shipping plan for Despatch
3. Liaise with service providers to book shipments
4. Negotiate costs and service levels with Service Providers:
5. Ad hoc movements
6. Planned movements

• Contracted movements

Working with Purchasing Department and Suppliers to organise:

1. Movement of inbound goods, by sea, road, air
2. Booking in shipments with Warehouse – HT Warehouses, External Warehouses
3. Completing all Inbound Customs Requirements

Performance monitoring and tracking:

1. Cost control and analysis reporting (every truck, pallet, consignment cost inbound and outbound)
2. Service Level performance
3. Best practice working
4. Share best practice ideas with other members of the organization
5. Demonstrate integrity and discretion in the handling of company information.
6. Ensure you are aware of the companies GDPR policy and procedures in relation to handling personal information and asking third parties to process personal information on the company’s behalf.
