We are currently recruiting – Warehouse Assistant to join the team in a busy Pack house based in Aston.

Shifts and Pay:06:00-14:00 : 14:00 - 22:00 Working any 5 days in 7 which does include weekend and Bank holiday working Starting salary £9.61-£12.01 P/H
Main Tasks: 

Loading & unloading of vehicles both manually and using material handling equipment (manual/electric pallet trucks and forklift). 
Order picking and splitting loads. 
Packing, Stacking and securing of orders. 
Different temperature regimes 
Operating packing machinery when trained and authorised to do so. 
House-keeping - cleaning all work surfaces and areas, keeping the areas neat and tidy, disposing of waste in the bins provided. The company operates a Clean As You Go Policy, which is explained in one of the training modules. 
Follow all current and any new company and statutory regulations and procedures relating to the above. 
Other reasonably related duties as assigned. 

To be punctual for work. 
To co-operate with immediate managers and colleagues to accomplish their duties. 
To be able to lift weights of 15kg  to up to head height regularly and work standing up  
You must be able to work on/with or use (after training) a conveyor 1 
Ensure that your areas where food is stored or processed is kept clean, tidy and safe promoting a CLEAN AS YOU GO policy. No straps, netting or hazardous material left lying around and thus showing due concern for the health and safety of your colleagues, especially at the end of the shift. 
Ensure that no pallets are left lying around and are stacked correctly, safely and in an optimum manner. fire exits are kept tidy (swept), miscellaneous products lying around are put away in the correct areas (and DE labelled if required) 
Ensure that if you are driving pallet trucks you should drive them safely, making proper use of horn; report violations to supervisors.  This only applies to employees who have been trained to drive pallet trucks. 
All damages and breakages are reported to Supervisor.
