We are recruiting for an experienced Engineers to join our clients Leicester office.

Working for a market leading global company specializing in the industrial and construction industry.

Working Monday to Friday 8.00am – 16.30pm

The role involves ensuring well serviced machinery by providing services and repairs and carrying out diagnostics.

You will be working on construction, agricultural, industrial and heavy-duty recycling equipment.

We are looking for someone who can provide a quality service and provide excellent customer service and represent the company with a world class service.

It is essential that you hold a Minimum of an NVQ 2 in plant engineering, servicing and maintenance, and ideally to be within 30 minutes travel from home to the vacancy.

Duties Include:

  • Providing effective and timely feedback to customers
  • Always promote the brand and products to customer.
  • Ensure a timely and effective service to customers to ensure their machinery is working well and affects businesses minimally.
  • Carry our services and repairs to vehicles and machinery, and always aim to provide a “First Time Fix”
  • Ensure good product knowledge
  • Write up and input job data accurately and timely after each service or repair.
  • To maintain equipment and other manufacturers equipment to specific requirements
  • Provide World Class Customer Service
  • Carry out all work practices in line with company health and safety policy
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations whilst maintaining profitability
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary to fulfil the role

Core Hours: 40 hours working week, 8.00am – 16.30pm hours, half an hour unpaid lunch break

Essential: Minimum of an NVQ 2 in plant engineering, servicing and maintenance. Candidates ideally to be within 30 minutes travel from home to the vacancy.

Required Attributes:

  • Knowledge of the Plant industry environment or similar industry.
  • Experience on hydraulic systems, open and closed loop, axles, transmissions manual and power shift, cam-bus electrical systems and working on JCB machinery
  • To communicate efficiently and express your ideas clearly and confidently at all levels verbally, in print and via the telephone
  • Teamwork, ability to work confidently within a group and on own initiative
  • Time Management, ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks and working to deadlines
  • Drive and determination to get things done, make things happen and continually looking for better ways of doing things

  • Overtime -first 4 hours at time and a half rate, over and above first 4 hours double time rate
  • Call out – initial payment of £50.00 normal working week, £75.00 bank holiday working week and £100.00 Christmas period for being on call. If called out any hours worked would be first 4 hours at time and a half rate, over and above first 4 hours double time rate. Frequency of rota system varies from depot to depot and would be discussed during the interview process with the relevant Depot Manager.

  • You will be eligible to a £25 payment per week, when working away from home for a week on a 4 consecutive nights’ away basis – not applicable to any training courses you may be expected to attend.
