Accounting Administrator

£22,000 Per Annum Coalville, Leicestershire

We have an exciting opportunity for someone with experience working in accounting.
The role is varied and incudes preparing and submitting customer invoices, coding, posting, and making receipt payments, performing bank reconciliations and other account and banking duties as well monitoring customer accounts ensuring payment or dealing with non-payments and arrears.

We are looking for someone with similar experience and good IT skills to be able to effectively update and maintain accounting journals and ledgers, month end reporting, using accounting data to deal with accounting problems and discrepancies.
Other duties involve tracking and auditing petty cash, supporting employees with expenses, liaising with departments, customers and vendors as well other general admin duties required within the accounts department.

Overview of Duties:

  • Preparing and submitting invoices
  • Preparing payments
  • Accounting and banking reconciliations
  • Monitoring of customer accounts
  • Dealing with non-payments and delayed payments
  • Analysis discrepancies and unpaid invoices
  • End or month reporting
  • Managing petty cash
  • General administrative duties
  • Effective communication with all department’s customer and vendors

 
The successful candidate will have the following:

  • 4 – 5 years’ experience in administrative and accounting roles
  • Accounting qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and accounting software
  • Experience of accounting and booking keeping principles and procedures.
  • Some knowledge of financial compliance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Ability to work using own initiative and to be able to work as part of a team
  • Customer service skills
  • High level communications skills; verbal and written
