Quality Control Lab Technician Required!  

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Lab Technician to work for our client based in Swadlincote, Derbyshire  

The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone leaving school/college looking for experience within a lab setting and experience for their CV or someone looking for a short-term role with some experience (6months) 

The role involves maintaining and calibrating the laboratory equipment, quality checking and testing of products from raw to finished products, carrying out microbiological analysis’, carrying out environmental monitoring, maintaining records and supporting with audits.

Duties:

  • Maintenance & calibration of laboratory equipment to required standard
  • Ensure raw materials and finished products are quality tested
  • Carryout internal microbiological analysis by petrifilm
  • Evaluate new raw materials and Pre-shipment samples
  • Carry out shelf-life values
  • Carry out environmental monitoring including swabs
  • Maintain records and documentation.
  • Ensure Certificate of analysis are created and available on the online database
  • Carry out internal audits as required

 

Hours of Work & Rates of Pay:

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 07.00am – 15.00pm  

Rate of pay is £10.00 per Hour

About you:

We are looking for people with experience of the following:

  • A-Level or equivalent in a Science based subject
  • Good level of Maths & English ability
  • Attention to Detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • It Literate
  • Keen to Learn
