A fantastic opportunity for Warehouse Operations support has arisen to join one of our global clients who are one of the largest delivery and logistic companies in the world. Our client is based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, LU5, in a completely refurbished Warehouse.


Hours of work and pay

  • £24,600 per annum
  • Sunday-Thursday: Nights 20:30-04:30
  • Tuesday-Saturday: Nights 20:30-04:30

You will be based within the warehouse and be the first point contact to selected customers and prepare all Administration requirements for the warehouse to be able to receive, store, prepare and despatch customers’ goods using a warehouse management system. This will include receiving customer orders, providing specification requirements to the warehouse and booking the finished shipment in with retailers etc.

The role involves:

  • Repairing Boxes
  • Fixing any damages and issues with customers parcels that have been damaged and not worthy of deliver
  • Organise, plan, manage and prioritise workload to suit operational requirements.
  • To ensure all customer service level agreements are adhered to.
  • To ensure customer requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Liase with internal and external vendors to ensure goods are collected on time to enable efficient delivery.
  • Communicate with Transport to follow up on and book delivery.
  • To ensure that daily checklists and tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • To maintain a high level of housekeeping within the warehouse administration area at all times.
  • To be receptive to training and development opportunities that may be necessary for successful completion of designated tasks or specific projects.
  • To cover the workload of colleagues within the department during periods of absence or peak workloads.
  • To undertake any other duties as required by managements that will improve quality of customer service within the company in accordance with grade and nature of the post.


Candidate requirements:  

  • Previous administration experience in a logistics environment
  • Previous Customer Service experience would be beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication would be required.
  • Excellent experience on computers
  • Display positive personal attributes by being able to work off own initiative and as part of a team. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are key to the smooth running of the entire operation and so you must have the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
  • A positive working attitude and the capability to take instruction well from team leaders and management.
