We are currently recruiting a Baler Operator to work for a recycling firm in Rushden.

 

The Baler Operator is an integral part of our clients team, the incumbent will be instrumental in the sorting, baling and quality control of product, materials and goods through the PRF either on the plastic or metal line. In this role you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.

07:00 - 18:30
 
Rate of Pay:


£10.00 DOE 

 
Duties: 

  • Ensure all Health and Safety, Environmental and Housekeeping standards and requirements are adhered too at all times.
  • Ensuring you always work in a safe manner, following company policies and procedures and any breaches are reported to your line manager or any member of the management team immediately.
  • Ensure all 5s and housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure all checks are completed to company requirements.
  • Report any issues to your line manager or a member of the management team.
  • Control the bunkers and conveyors, ensuring a steady flow of material through the PRF and into the baler. Whilst ensuring the lines do not become backed up and causing downtime.
  • Ensure quality is kept to the highest standard practicable and identify potential quality issues.
  • Bale the Plastic Recycling Facility (PRF) - sorting Line throughput material or other materials as instructed.
  • Changing the wires on the baler.
  • Using an FLT as required.
  • Monitor the condition of the plant belonging to the baler and report any issues to your line manager immediately.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance i.e., cleaning / greasing / lubricating, as instructed and required.
  • Perform any tasks as reasonably requested by a member of the management team.
  • Be Flexible to meet the needs of the business.

  • Basic – Good grasp of the English language and able to communicate to all teams
  • Reach / Counterbalance Forklift Qualification
