We have an exciting opportunity for someone looking  for a new full time position.


Our prestigious client based in in South Derbyshire is looking for someone with sales and purchase ledger experience to join their team.


We are looking for someone with strong admin skills and experience to liaise with production staff and customers, to ensure a smooth customer experience.



Hours of work and Pay


Monday to Friday


08.30am – 17.00pm Monday to Thursday & 08.30am – 16.00pm on a Friday


£10 per hour raising to £10.50 per hour after 12 weeks



Job Role

  • To assist project engineer with admin tasks, printing works orders, associated drawings, instructions and issuing into manufacture
  • Placing purchase orders to fulfil sales orders and manufacturing requirements, noting lead-times, price increases and carriage charges
  • Progressing existing purchase orders, liaising with production, ensuring a smooth flow of material and finished goods.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and clients
  • Assisting production planner to keep awaiting parts list accurate and up to date
  • Physical checks on awaiting parts bins in production area, reconciling against computer generated lists
  • Help to investigate and solve stock level issues, arranging stock recounts/resets where required
  • Taking telephone sales enquiries
  • Processing sales orders, quoting realistic lead-times, despatching goods from stock



Candidate Requirements


  • Previous experience in order processing is essential (both sales and purchase ledger)
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Experience of using Microsoft office packages such as work and excel
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads
  • Be able to use own initiative
