A fantastic opportunity for Inventory Controller(s) within the Warehouse Operation at one of our global clients who are one of the largest delivery and logistic companies in the world. Our client is based in Reading RG2, in a completely refurbished Warehouse. As a Inventory Controller you will be responsible for spotting and solving any issues with products and resolving the issues.


Hours of work and pay 

£26,987.00 per annum 

Fixed shift pattern of either:

  • Sunday-Thursday: Afternoon shift 13:00-21:00
  • Tuesday-Saturday: Afternoon shift 13:00-21:00

The role involves:

  • Working on the conveyer belts to spot and pull any parcels with errors.
  • To speak directly with customers to sort and resolve these issues.
  • To complete all paperwork that is necessary for each resolve.
  • To ensure all customer service level agreements are adhered to.
  • To ensure customer requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with internal and external vendors to ensure goods are collected on time to enable efficient delivery.
  • To ensure that daily checklists and tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • To maintain a high level of housekeeping within the warehouse and administration area at all times.
  • To be receptive to training and development opportunities that may be necessary for successful completion of designated tasks or specific projects.
  • To cover the workload of colleagues within the department during periods of absence or peak workloads.
  • To undertake any other duties as required by managements that will improve quality of customer service within the company in accordance with grade and nature of the post.


Candidate requirements:  

  • Previous Warehouse experience is essential.
  • Previous Customer Service experience would be beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication would be required.
  • Keen eye for details and spotting errors.
  • Display positive personal attributes by being able to work off own initiative and as part of a team. 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are key to the smooth running of the entire operation and so you must have the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
  • A positive working attitude and the capability to take instruction well from team leaders and management.
