This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Workshop Foreman Supervisor with previous Technician experience or HGV Technician with leadership capabilities to manage a team of likeminded HGV Technicians/ Mechanics in this busy and vibrant workshop to join my client in Coalville. 


Hours of Work and Pay 


  • Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays   
  • 08.00m - 18.00pm 
  • £18.75 per hour -£25.51 per hour 


Job Role 


Ideally, you will have main dealer experience as a technician and some of this will be in a Supervisory capacity. Your remit as Workshop Foreman will be to ensure that the Workshop Team are fully productive and up to date with modern diagnostic methods, you will also be responsible for training anyone who has a shortfall in skill sets so, experience of this would be useful. 


The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified HGV Commercial Vehicle Technician with at least a Class II HGV Licence and preferably have some experience working on Hydraulics and a diverse range of Heavy Commercial Vehicles. The technical remit will be to ensure all Inspections, Repairs, Tachograph Management, Servicing and General Maintenance are conducted within the agreed service level agreements with close liaison with the Company planning office, Carrying out QC checks and road tests. 


Candidate Requirements 

  • HGV Technician qualification or Time Served. 
  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team/team builder and team player. 
  • Excellent attention to detail to deliver right first time for the customer. 
  • Good verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent Customer care skills. 
  • Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks. 
  • Awareness and understanding of Health & Safety requirements. 
  • LGV/HGV/PCV licence 
  • Mechanical: 3 years (required) 
  • Supervisor: 2 years (preferred)
