Oxford Biomedica’s Finance team are responsible for overseeing the financial cash flow of the business.  The team has accountability for financial planning and analysis, accounts payable and accounts receivable

We are currently recruiting for a new Financial Business Partner who can provide 1st line commercial finance support to senior leaders helping them actively driving the business to achieve its financial goals.

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

  • Providing commercial finance business partner support as required to business managers, department heads, project managers
  • Responsible for overseeing the development and presentation of financial forecasts and business cases to Group for review and approval
  • Drive the development and adoption of insightful financial analytics e.g. project and batch profitability assessments, resource utilisation, KPI tracking etc. to assist with financial decision making
  • Drive the achievement of financial goals, implementing additional controls, developing new KPIs and introducing new initiatives as needed to improve financial performance by leveraging central finance expertise, systems, policies and procedures
  • Work with commercial teams to drive profitable business growth
  • Provide input into month end cost accruals, revenue assumptions, variance analyses and explanations for Group reporting purposes
  • Work with Group Finance to resolve external auditor queries related to designated departments / projects.

 To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified to CIMA/ACCA with relevant Finance Degree
  • Financial and Management Accounting advantageous, ideally in a manufacturing and service delivery environment
  • An good understanding of IFRS accounting standards
  • Experience of Pharmaceutical/Biotech or high technology manufacturing industry would be beneficial.
  • The ability able to build relationships with senior management across business functions as well as Group finance colleagues of all levels
  • Confident communicator with the ability to convey financial data in a commercial manner,
  • Track record of successful delivery of projects & change management initiatives
  • A demonstrable ability to drive for results along with being a determined finisher & problem solver
  • Understands the importance of robust controls and the need for systems alignment to avoid dispute and confusion
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (especially MS Excel, PowerPoint & Teams)
