Siamo Group are currently working with a world-wide leader in their industry, based in Sandy, who are looking for a Service / Application Manager to join their ever growing team on a permanent basis.

 

Job Purpose

They are looking for a key individual to join their team and lead the way for their company’s service / applications activities. This is a complex position and full support will be given to bring you up to speed from an industry perspective. As this is a key position it is essential that you take full responsibility for the effective and efficient running of the department. There is heavy reliance on this role throughout the company, assisting both sales and customer services with technical support as well as engineering and production with hands on support for test and commission of new and development systems

Main duties and responsibilities include:

 

Plan and coordinate installations and repair manufactured and OEM equipment globally. Provides on-site troubleshooting support, or email and telephone support of company-built and OEM equipment

Plan and organise customer maintenance visits and service repair in a manner that maximises efficient use of time and expenditure

Conduct on-site installation, commissioning and training to ensure equipment is functioning according to specifications as back-up to the service team if required

Determine parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures and service schedule required for service activities

Provide technical information and assistance to other departments as necessary

In conjunction with engineering and sales produce applications notes as required

  Produce a full range of video operation guides for existing and new equipment

  Develop and conduct equipment training programs

  Provide the Sales team with applications support and demonstrating equipment to customers

Assists the Engineering department with Product development and prototype work

  Work in conjunction with the Production department on fault finding and commissioning duties

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential

 

HNC or BTEC Higher certificate in electronic or general engineering required

A minimum of 3 to 5 years customer-facing, equipment service related experience performing the essential duties or equivalent responsibility

Knowledge of Mechanical and electrical/electronic expertise

Must be able to travel as back-up to the service team and to support the sales team when require

Able to travel Globally and across the UK travel

Full driving license

Ability to lift 25-50 kgs

 

Desirable

 

Semiconductor industry experience

Other foreign languages

 

Hours

Monday to Thursday: 08:30-17:00

Friday: 08:30-15:30 (Early finish Friday!!)

Salary

Competitive salary plus car allowance.
