Marketplace & E-Commerce Manager position available!

Our client are a rapidly expanding battery specialist who’s unmatched service is the key to their success. They are looking for a Marketplace & E-Commerce Manager to join their team in a very exciting time for their business.

Role overview;

The role entails managing rapidly expanding marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon and Shopware. Our client requires someone who is willing to take responsibility and can meet their daily targets. You should be able to work and communicate effectively to deliver against the company's key performance indicators to evolve a selected marketplace.

The ideal candidate needs to be dynamic, hard-working, and passionate about E-Commerce and customer service. Self-motivation and good communication skills are essential. This role will be running the day-to-day growth of one of our clients’ various marketplaces. You will be introduced to various aspects of the account and business as you will be involved with running promotions and vouchers, whilst also reviewing and influencing the way they attract new and returning customers. You will play a pivotal role in growing the account and helping support our revenue and exposure goals, this will be done by reviewing the account and spotting opportunities to enhance our operations. You will manage the day to day running of our advertising and promotion activity whilst also liaising with wider teams to prepare and address company-wide activity.

Your role as a Marketplace & E-Commerce Manager will involve;

  • The set up of new products, categories, and landing pages and developing a digital strategy.
  • Research and respond to competitors’ activities on each marketplace.
  • Apply effective planning and tactical trading activities across each client & marketplace, working collaboratively with Trade and Pricing.
  • Regularly review each platform with focus on a selected marketplace to ensure content is complete and fully optimised to maximise our visibility in search results.
  • Processing customer returns, ensuring all customers who return their items receive replacements or refunds in a timely manner. Liaise with delivery companies, investigate delivery and return issues, handle courier claims.
  • Communicating with customers to ensure we receive positive feedback on all our e-commerce channels and responding to queries on product to delivery and general questions.

Candidate Requirements;

  • Experience of working on digital marketplaces (eBay/Amazon an advantage)
  • Understanding of SEO, PPC and SERP
  • Be data and insight driven.
  • The ability to work quickly & accurately and pay attention to detail.
  • Previous Customer Service Experience
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, articulate with good spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team as well as using initiative.
  • Experience of driving traffic using Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tags, and other relevant SEM tools.
  • Experience taking and editing photographs of products.
