Siamo Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Category Manager to join their highly regarded client based in Rugby.

Salary 

£30k - £40k DOE  

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday (08.00 - 17.00)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Commercial Director to plan, build and execute our channel and category growth strategy.
  • Partner with some of the biggest names in FMCG and innovative challenger brands to develop customer plans to enable new channel growth.
  • Lead the on-boarding of new partners for best in class launches in their chosen channels.
  • Own full channel and category P&L with a keen eye on volume, pricing and costs to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Work in tandem with Demand Planner to ensure all key trading moments are well planned and executed.
  • Collaborate with all internal teams to find innovative ways to driven incremental revenue and profit, considering all elements of the cost to serve.
  • Keeping up to date with market, channel and competitor trends. Share insights on these and shopper behavioral trends to drive best practice, learnings and delivering actions to ensure we're delivering the best in market experience.
  • Regular reporting on performance including a top line overview, detailed KPI analysis, channel and customer level detail and key actions to drive the necessary improvements.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in buying, online trading or account management is essential with e-commerce experience managing Amazon or Marketplaces desired.
  • Experience managing a large P&L and promotional plans with external partners in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skill at transforming and interpreting large amounts of data from a variety of sources to enable informed fast paced decisions.
  • Strength at forming effective working relationships with internal and external multi functional teams using excellent communication skills: able to give clarity and set direction in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to prioritise, structure work & effectively manage time.
  • Continuous improvement focus with a desire to improve current processes and implement best practices.
  • Natural curiosity, can do attitude and ambition. Comfortable with ambiguity
