Social Worker (Adults & Communities) (Temporary)
£11.88 - £16.91 Per Hour 

We are currently recruiting Qualified Social Workers to work within the Adults & Communities Department based in Hinckley. 

We are looking for informed and caring individuals to promote independence, personal care and support to vulnerable people. 

in the role you would be responsible for delivering high quality, person -centred, social care service, be assessing, managing, and reviewing people's needs, risks  and provide appropriate support to maximise independence. Always ensuring people are protected and safeguarded. 

You will be allocated a caseload of people and its your responsibility to be key in their support. 

**Please note a fully enhanced DBS is required for this position**


Main Duties

  • Working with adults to provide appropriate responses to referrals within designated timescales. 
  • Providing prompt support to meet immediate risks and needs.
  • Working with partner agencies and multidisciplinary agencies as required. 
  • Addressing concerns and complaints and making appropriate changes. 
  • Identifying, investigating and managing potential safeguarding, mental capacity issues, continuing healthcare needs and high risk situations. 
  • Promoting independence and facilitating solutions by assessing risk, reviewing outcomes, designing support plans, identifying community and natural support resources. 
  • Accessing and reviewing services including Direct Payments, safe use of equipment and adaptions. 
  • Identifying and implementing positive solutions. 


Essential Criteria

  • A Degree or equivalent in Social Work
  • HCPC registration 
  • Evidence of working with vulnerable adults and communities as outlined above 
  • Experience of managing risk and delivering safe solutions. 
  • Experience of multiagency/multidisciplinary working 
  • Excellent knowledge of social work methodologies and the ability to put them into practice. 
  • Ability to time manage and manage a caseload by prioritising. 
  • Excellent communication skills on all levels.
