Oxford Biomedica’s Engineering team are responsible for all aspects of Plant, Mechanical, Electrical and Incoming utilities from point of connection into any of our facilities. This includes laboratories, manufacturing suites and office space.
We are currently recruiting for a Compliance & Continuous Improvement Manager to join the team. The purpose of this role is to lead and manager the responsible business, business continuity, energy saving, regulatory compliance processes across our Engineering & Facilities functions.
Your responsibilities in this role would be:
Accountable for the design, implementation and communication of our Responsible Business, Continuous improvement, Energy and Compliance programmes
Identify and implement improvements to OXB Engineering, Laboratory Management & Facilities processes, systems of work and facility to reduce deviations, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Communicate and train improvements implemented to the relevant teams along with completion of associated paperwork.
Identify lean areas that will reduce time and waste across all sites
Implementation of preventative and corrective actions through root cause analysis.
Ensures Engineering, Laboratory Management & Facilities compliance with OXB’s Quality, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures
Manage the Estate’s service and maintenance contracts regarding all owned and leased properties.
Managing the Engineering & Facilities GDPR requirements and licences
Manage the Disaster and Business Continuity requirements for the Engineering, Laboratory Management & Facilities departments
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant facilities management with substantial experience in an industrial setting
Strong understanding of ESOS & Responsible Business requirements
Extensive knowledge Estates layout/design, facilities, service providers and contractual agreements.
Significant experience and knowledge of processes including quality and regulatory requirements
Understands the health, safety and environmental aspects of the work carried out
Strong background in adherence to regulatory/environmental standards.
Recognised SME in Facilities service provision, customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
Knowledge of quality management systems, environmental, health and safety aspects of the work and regulatory requirements
