Oxford Biomedica’s Manufacturing Team is responsible for the production and aseptic fill and finish of vectors, for our clients and partners, to GMP standard.
We are looking for a talented Senior GMP Production professional to lead and matrix manage delivery of personal training and skills progress of manufacturing operators, including direct reports, to ensure efficient improvement of the operator’s competences and expertise, improving the business performance.
Your responsibilities in this role would be:
Accountable for leading the organisation of successful and timely delivery of:
new starters induction activities and on-boarding of new starters within the manufacturing teams
training to improve operator’s competencies and skills for manufacturing processes in line with OXB business continuity plans.
Accountable for the performance management and development of direct reports.
Ensure all operators are within their required qualification status at all times.
Organise and complete initial qualification and re-qualification’s required for GMP manufacturing in timely manner.
Provide support and collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with training requirement and ensure training matrix are kept up to date at all times and communicated periodically.
Lead the continuous improvement of the manufacturing training processes by creating new training modules and use of videos / new technology.
Ensure alignment of training activities within OXB by participating in training forum’s and collaborating with training compliance and manufacturing teams.
Provide SME support during regulatory audits and implementation of preventive and corrective actions to reduce/ eliminate deviations events.
Report the performance of manufacturing teams and training activities in the form of KPI’s during the team meetings.
Gather and process information about essential and desired skills for all operators using skills matrix.
Schedule and coordinate training in line with routine manufacturing activities.
Engage with, and provide SME support to the manufacturing teams to define and drive training improvement projects to address the skill gaps within teams.
Engage with manufacturing teams to organise and provide hands-on training during implementation of new processes and technologies.
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
Educated to degree level in a life sciences subject or possess sufficient industry experience
Strong knowledge of GMP manufacturing and regulatory standards
Proven experience delivering Training in a GMP environment
Comprehensive knowledge of all manufacturing processes within the OXB
Previous biological/chemical manufacturing experience in an MHRA /FDA regulated environment
People Management experience/competency is preferred
Competent at using data to drive decision making
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
Confident and able to delivery effective presentations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
