We have exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager to join a fast paced and successful organization on a Permanent basis. This is an progressive and varied opportunity for an experienced hands on manager to really make it their own.

 

Our client is looking for an individual with an sound working knowledge of SAP and proven track record of process improvement alongside people management.  The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of direct reports therefore it is imperative to have a solid background in managing a team. You will play a key role in supporting the manufacturing function across all streams of the business.

 

This role will have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Management of Health and Safety; inspection regimes, accident investigations, improvement activities.
  • Using SAP to track production orders and ensure parts from various departments come together for the required dispatch date
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments
  • Review and distribute production work schedules and move requirements.
  • Conferring with production managers and department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates
  • Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labour or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions,
  • Develop and communicate weekly and daily manufacturing schedules
  • Continuous improvement always looking for better and more efficient ways to undertake process eliminating waste and promoting best practise 

 

The ideal candidate for this Manufacturing Manager role will have:

 

  • All round computer skills which must include a working knowledge of SAP and Excel.
  • Experience of managing Health and safety (ISOH or similar trained)
  • Flexible proactive approach to Work
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively against a deadline
  • Good at managing tasks and prioritising workload
  • Methodical and thorough approach to work
  • Experience in lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Experience of managing complex manufacturing processes
  • Experience of managing a long-established workforce
