I am a young gentleman who lives at home with my parents. I suffered from severe hypoxic injury to the brain at birth which resulted in spastic quadriparesis. Due to this, I have epilepsy, require a wheelchair and need skilled care to provide me support through a 24-hour period. I have a tracheostomy and gastrostomy in place.
The role includes driving me to college in the morning, supporting me with my health needs throughout the day alongside college staff and driving me home after college.
I am looking for a dedicated personal assistant preferably with prior experience of tracheostomy and gastrostomy care although full training will be provided.
A full, valid driving licence is required as you will be driving the client’s car as needed.
