We are looking to recruit a Support Worker for our client in the Alfreton area. You will be part of a support team dedicated to our client on a 1:1 basis, with the aim of supporting our client in maintaining a safe, sociable and meaningful lifestyle, while promoting independence within the home and out in the community.
SHIFT PATTERNS AS FOLLOWS:
9am-5pm; 5pm-10pm sleep followed by 7am-9am the following morning. Over time is available to cover annual leave and sickness.
£9.50 per hour Monday-Friday and £10.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday.
Sleep-ins are paid at National Minimum Wage.
A full, clean driving licence.
Flexibility around working hours to meet the needs of the client and the package.
The ability to be able to do sleep ins.
Previous experience in the care sector
Excellent verbal communication skills
Previous experience working with challenging behaviours.
An interest in music and/or horse riding
To work with and support our client, both within the home and in the community.
To create a good working relationship with our client and their family.
To support with the food shop and with creating nutritional and healthy meals.
To drive our client's vehicle.
To provide practical and emotional support, according to the client's care plan.
To undertake client specific training and attend supervisions when directed by HomeCareDirect.
To work according to HomeCareDirect policies and procedures including adhering to confidentiality and GDPR.
