Gene and cell therapy is the treatment of disease by the delivery of therapeutic DNA into a patient’s cells, providing long term and potentially curative treatments for a wide range of diseases. With the potential to transform medicine, the sector holds significant promise with the first commercial products now launched and others rapidly approaching the market.

Working as part of the Human resources team you will be responsible for the co-ordination and administrative support for all our new and existing learning and development activities. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate internal Learning and Development activities and events, including scheduling, venue bookings, logistics support and refreshments organisation
  • Ensure all relevant training materials, documentation and rooms are prepared for each session
  • Circulate all programme communications to participants and their line managers
  • Liaise with external training providers to co-ordinate the successful delivery of training events
  • Ownership of the Learning & Development email account and ensuring timely responses
  • Apprenticeship scheme administration both internal & external
  • Provide administrative support to the HR induction process
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources Analyst to improve data integrity
  • Define, create, and maintain defined procedures and processes
  • Administer employee certifications, ensuring relevant documents/copies are distributed and stored appropriately.
  • Co-ordinate the annual employee development planning process, liasing with managers and employees

Key skills and requirements:

  • Min GCSE Qualifications in Maths & English
  • Previous experience in a Learning and Development role or similar.
  • Good organisational skills; able to manage own time and use own initiative
  • Computer literate at intermediate level (Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Experience on HRIS / Learning Management Systems is desirable
