Due to our continued growth we are looking for a Senior HR Adviser to join our HR team. The purpose of the role is to provide support in all operational areas of HR to the management of employees of the Company, delivering value-adding services and initiatives to the business including workforce planning, on-boarding, provision of employee relations advice, employee engagement, performance management and off boarding.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Support the Head of HR Delivery to implement initiatives to drive culture, behaviours and performance ensure best performance in a motivated environment.
Support the on-boarding processes including active participation in induction activities.
Provide best practice advice and support to managers and employees on all areas of operational HR in line, with company policies, terms and conditions of employment and legislation.
Informing employees of their rights and entitlements and keeping them up to date on any changes that are made
Provide accurate guidance and advice to managers regarding sensitive or complex ER matters including investigations, disciplinary, capability, sickness absence and grievance procedures.
Attend, take minutes and advise, where necessary, at formal hearings and appeals.
Create and maintain effective stakeholder relationships by providing accurate, appropriate advice highlighting risks involved with any course of action.
Reviewing and supporting managers in producing letters and formal documents.
Complete Occupational Health referrals and offer follow up and ongoing support where necessary for the employee, manager and Health and Safety team.
Conduct exit interviews for all leavers.
Assist in the delivery of all change management initiatives necessary to support the transformation and growth of the business.
Prepare detailed reports on agreed HR metrics as well as ad hoc reports, correspondence and other documentation as required.
Review and update policies and procedures.
Ensure headcount and structural changes are captured in organisational charts and company IT systems.
Complete benchmarking activities as and when required.
Support with annualised processes including performance evaluation, bonus and salary review processes and engagement initiatives.
Assist in management of the Performance Management Process ensuring all reviews are carried out on time and provide coaching for managers in the process, highlighting over and under performers.
Share information and work collaboratively with the HR team to ensure delivery of a consistent and integrated service to the Company.
Undertake and/or support ad hoc projects as and when required i.e. Health and Wellbeing, Employee engagement surveys.
Support with administrative and HR processing tasks as and when required.
Key skills and requirements:
Experience of dealing with ER casework
Experience of advising and supporting line managers and employees
Up to date and extensive knowledge of employment law and best practice
Excellent interpersonal and professional skills including experience of resolving conflict
CIPD level 5 qualified
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally, adopting an appropriate style and tone
Ability to manage a high workload with multiple demands and tight deadlines, monitor service levels and acts as required
