Our recent successes are driving significant growth. As such, we are looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join our Warehouse and Supply Chain team. The purpose of the role is to oversee the product supply chain operation from forecasting to discontinuation of specific groups of products and services, ensuring throughout that customer services, stock and obsolescence levels are maintained to targeted standards. Ensure materials are procured, transacted and delivered to internal customers.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
To ensure vendor orders are placed on a timely and scheduled basis
To liaise with suppliers to ensure product orders are delivered on time and in full, as well as resolving or escalating any issues.
To liaise closely with account handlers and other departments to ensure forecasts are accurately maintained
To maintain and enhance stock and service levels
To maintain system integrity – part creation, units of measure, purchasing and issuing pack size. Maintain timely transactions to allow for successful performing of MRP.
To control and monitor inventory accuracy. Including cycle counts, annual stock check. Review excess and obsolete stock levels- taking appropriate actions.
Managing required Quality Management system compliance, including supplier complaints.
Ensure all requests for inventory are actioned on time and in full. Work closely with all internal departments to ensure the highest standards of customer service are met
Support requirement for ease of retrieval of departmental documentation – to support potential recall / customer complaint.
Key skills and requirements:
Broad knowledge of all supply chain activities.
Detailed knowledge of planning/materials management systems (Computerised ERP or manual).
Adept in establishing and routine use of Project Management tools for visibility on supply (e.g. Microsoft Project)
Constantly review systems and recommend improvements
Constantly evolve procedures to react to, or pre-empt, changes from suppliers, customers, regulatory or financial.
Establish appropriate innovative solutions to facilitate transfer of GxP and R&D areas into routine supply chain activities.
Business Degree (or equivalent)
Professional qualifications in supply chain/ materials management
Knowledge of GMP compliance would be preferable.
Good experience in a materials management role
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) both internal and external stakeholders.
