Our recent successes are driving significant growth. As such, we are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our Warehouse and Supply Chain team. The purpose of this role is to ensure the concept design for our new warehouse facility is fully implemented to support GMP and regulatory requirements. This requires review and update of current Warehouse SOP’s and full staff training. You will be responsible for managing people, processes and systems, in order to ensure goods are received, segregated, labelled, located, inventory controlled and dispatched appropriately and productivity targets are met. You will also be responsible for the Health and Safety standards and for the security of the building and inventory. This includes specialist warehouses involving the storage of temperature-controlled products.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Liaise with internal customers.
Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods to internal customers.
Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary
Respond to and deal with internal customer communication by email and telephone
Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
Plan future capacity requirements
Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Brief team on a daily basis
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
Key skills and requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High level of experience of GMP requirements and leading regulatory inspections.
Knowledge of the H&S requirements of operating multiple warehouses
People management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others, delegate work and explain ideas
Planning and organisational skills
The ability to work as part of a team
The ability to inspire, motivate and lead a team of people
Initiative and decisiveness
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Educated to degree standard in warehouse management.
Proven track record of successful regulatory and customer inspections.
Extensive knowledge of H&S requirements in modern warehouse.
Highly motivated individual that can instil and maintain the compliance ethos required for operating under GMP licences.
