What responsibilities does the Lab Technician hold?
- Collect and analyse samples to ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
- Conduct routine analysis of lab samples to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- Monitor chemical solutions in production processes to ensure consistency with operational specifications.
- Provide chemical adjustment recommendations to operators based on laboratory analysis results.
- Maintain and update accurate records of all laboratory tests and analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve any relevant faults.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained for reliable test results and safety.
What attributes to the ideal Lab Technician?
- A real interest in Chemistry / Chemical engineering.
- Experience in any previous lab-based role is preferred but not necessary.
- Some familiarity with chemical testing and analysis.
- Foundation understanding of pH testing titration and spectroscopy.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols in a laboratory environment.
- The ability to identify potential safety hazards and implement preventive measures effectively.
- Exposure handling laboratory equipment and maintaining a safe workspace.
- Full UK driving licence.
