What responsibilities does the Lab Technician hold?

• Collect and analyse samples to ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
• Conduct routine analysis of lab samples to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Monitor chemical solutions in production processes to ensure consistency with operational specifications.
• Provide chemical adjustment recommendations to operators based on laboratory analysis results.
• Maintain and update accurate records of all laboratory tests and analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve any relevant faults.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained for reliable test results and safety.

What attributes to the ideal Lab Technician?

• A real interest in Chemistry / Chemical engineering.
• Experience in any previous lab-based role is preferred but not necessary.
• Some familiarity with chemical testing and analysis.
• Foundation understanding of pH testing titration and spectroscopy.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols in a laboratory environment.
• The ability to identify potential safety hazards and implement preventive measures effectively.
• Exposure handling laboratory equipment and maintaining a safe workspace.
• Full UK driving licence.
