Key responsibilities as a Maintenance Technician:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a diverse array of machinery, including bespoke equipment.
- Adhere to pre-established maintenance schedules, ensuring the consistent upkeep of parts to minimize breakdowns and prevent major operational disruptions.
- Collaborate with technicians and production teams to enhance and develop maintenance schedules that ensure efficient workflow.
- Provide detailed reports to the Engineering Manager on equipment failures, including root causes, key concerns, and remedial actions.
- Complete all necessary documentation and maintenance logs following task completion.
- Operate machinery such as lathes, mills, grinders, and other tools for the fabrication of parts as required.
- Accurately interpret technical drawings when necessary.
- Assist in the installation of new tools and machinery as required.
- Contribute to general site maintenance and operational efficiency.
The ideal Maintenance Technician will:
- Demonstrate experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Have strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and circuits.
- Possess the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Be well show previous exposure working with fine tolerances.
- Offer a basic understanding of engineering principles. Any electronic engineering knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
- Have a full UK driving license.
