Production Operative
Siamo are pleased to work with a fast-growing family company in Malmesbury who are looking to onboard a Production Operative. You will grow and develop within the role becoming a key component to our clients success. Joining them on a temporary ongoing basis.
This is a unique opportunity where the ability to develop and grow is available, continuing to grow across the past 5 years our client is looking for a driven Production Operative to join their family.
This role will be basic production work using laser cutters where full training will be provided. You will join a fun and hard working team all working towards the same goal.
Our client, a specialist in their market are based in the heart of Malmesbury, due to this a full driving license and own vehicle is required. As a production operative you’ll be a crucial part of the business to ensure customers receive high quality products and efficient service.
Pay and Shift Patterns:
- DAYS : Monday – Friday 06:30am – 15:00pm £11.50 Per Hour with overtime rates at 1.3, 1.5 & 2.0 base salary
- LATES : Monday - Thursday 15:00pm - 00:30am and Friday 15:00pm - 19:00pm £14.37 Per Hour
What will a Production Operative be doing?
- Operating a specialist laser cutting machines to manufacture high quality MDF pieces at the required quality and output levels.
- Following quality monitoring processes and procedures to ensure the highest standards possible and provide feedback to supervisors when required.
- Monitoring all waste and non-compliant product and record all such occurrences
- Scanning all jobs onto the ERP system in real time to ensure up to date information on all production processes.
- Prioritising health and safety in all areas of operation, practicing good care with fire and risk assessments. PPE to be worn whenever required.
- Undertaking machine maintenance, cleaning, trouble shooting and fault finding, working in conjunction with technical department when required.
- Displaying excellent levels of teamwork and co-operation when working with colleagues in other departments / other areas of production.
- Following all required protocols when operating the lasers, such as start-up and shut- down procedures and accurately ID stamping all finished products.
- Participating in and ensure complete accuracy of periodic stock takes whenever required.
What makes the perfect Production Operative?
- Previous laser cutting experience would be advantageous
- Previous production operative is essential
- Previous experience machining wood would be advantageous
- Competent using computer software’s
- Full UK driving license
- ERP / SAP experience
