Production Operative - Immediate Start

We here at Siamo Recruitment are working with a leading timber manufacturer looking for a hardworking and professional Production Operative(s) to join their growing production team learning the trade within Timber production working a varied role with an excellent training program and progression routes.

Our client is looking for Production Operatives on a temporary-ongoing basis where the position WILL go permanent for the right candidate.

The Details:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00am – 16:30pm
• £13.00 per hour + Attendance bonus
• Location: Fairford
• Free onsite parking
• Temporary to Permanent opportunity

The Role of Production Operative:

• Lifting of Timber materials
• Movement of stock around site using various equipment
• Forming Timber into truss shapes
• Clamping Timber using metal plates
• Maintaining Health and Safety Standards and Procedures and Good Housekeeping
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Serving and checking customer collections
• Moving stock to storage areas
• Picking and packing orders

Required Skills and Experience for Production Operative:

• Previous production operative experience
• Full UK Driving License due to rural location
• Professional and hard working demeanor
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Experience of working within a Timber/Builder’s Merchant is an advantage, although full training can be provided for the right applicant
• Be happy to do manual work with potential heavy lifting
• Be able to work well in a team, and alone when required
